Pamper time!

I didn't do any blogging after a particularly shitty weekend this weekend, I won't go into details but it's onward and upward from here!  If there's one thing that makes me feel good though it's a good pamper evening! I usually reserve Sunday nights for this, I like to unwind and prepare myself for the dreaded Monday morning :(. A good start to a pamper evening is a good bath! I love to use a lush bath bomb or bubble bar but I didn't have any (argh!) so I had to settle for dove cream bath. It's just not as bubbly but it does smell gorgeous and makes your skin feel so so soft. I did have my lush face mask to save the day though, wich I recently did a little review on.
I also love to do my nails ready for the new week, they are usually looking a mess by Tuesday morning but at least I start with good intentions! I used 2 nail polishes from OPI, I got these in a mini set of 4 for my birthday and I swear it was a maleficient collection but I can not find it anywhere! So I'm not sure exactly what these polishes are called...I know I like them though! I used a 'gel' looking top coat from autograph, it does look nice but after a while it makes some weird cracks in your nail polish so it's definitely not the best.
Any hoo all this did make me feel a little better :) time for a new week and some new healthy eating, blog posts to follow!

Something to look forward to!

It's been another long, cold, rainy day here today, you know those days when all you can think about is snuggling in your nice warm bed back at home? Yep it's been one of those. It's days like today that I need something to look forward to, of corse there's always the end of the week to look forward to, but it's nice to have something that you're doing at the end of the week!
I've decided that every month I'm going to try and give myself something to look forward to. It might be as simple as going out for a meal or to the cinema, it doesn't have to be fancy, and on my budget it's probably not going to be! It's just something to work towards and to keep me going on days like today.
I'm starting this weekend by taking my boyfriend out for a meal, yes I'm lovely I know. It sounds kind of simple but we actually don't go out to eat a lot, we tend to get a takeaway and sit in watching a movie, which I love but it's nice to change it around bit! We have been saying for probably about 6 months that we need to try this new buffet place, but have we gone? No! I feel like that's a problem a lot of people have, we always say lets do this lets do that but we never actually put anything in place and just do it! I'm just going to do more I enjoy and spend less time worrying about stuff that really doesn't matter!

My pick me up

It's been a bit of a...blugh couple of weeks for me. Not for any particular reason, it's just not been great and I've not been feeling that great either. One thing that always picks me up though is a bit, or a lot, of pampering. For the last two weeks I've been using lush catastrophe cosmetic facemask and I LOVE it. I have used it before and out if the ones I've tried it's my favourite lush mask!
Firstly it smells delicious! Like really really delicious! And it makes my skin feel amazing. My red skin is the bane of my life and this mask really helps to calm it down. It's lasted surprisingly long actually for a small pot and I've been using it nearly everyother day for the last couple of weeks. I prefer lush masks to any other brand I've tried, just purely because they're made with much more natural ingredients and it's makes my skin feel so much better. I'm going to try a couple more of their masks, next on the list is Brazened Honey. But for now it's time to get back to a much needed lazy Sunday afternoon binge watching friends!

Making lunch!

Today me and the boyfriend made some cheesy rolls, this was quite and achievement after many failed attempts at baking! It's a really simple recipie and you really don't need many ingredients, we already had most of it in the cupboards. All you need is:
Cheese
Self raising flour (200g)
Milk (100ml) - I also found that water works just as good
Paprika (1tsp)
Butter (50g)

That's it! We also chopped up some onion and added that in with the cheese, it tastes awesome by the way!

So to make them:
Pre heat oven to 200 degrees

1. Add flour and butter into a bowl and mix together using your hands, then mix in the paprika. We also added in a bit of salt the second time around, it makes a difference so I recommend doing that as well
2. Add in the milk, or in my case water and mix again. You might need to add a little more but don't make it to wet!
3. Sprinkle some flour on the surface so the dough doesn't stick, then roll out the dough, it needs to be half a centimetre thick. Mine was a little thinner and I think that worked out a little better!
4. Once rolled out sprinkle some cheese (don't be shy!) over the top of the dough. Also add in anything else such as onion.
5. Now you need to roll the dough into a sausage shape and cut into peices, they can be as thick or thin as you want, I prefer thinner though!
6. Cook for around 20 minutes, or until golden brown!

And then you're done, the rolls in the picture below were made using half the ingredients so you can make double using this recipie! You can also experiment with different types of cheese and fillings, we're going to do cheese and bacon next!

Oops I went to lush!

So this week i took a trip to my favorite shop in the world, lush! I love lush, I actually can not stress enough how much I love the place. All the staff are sooo friendly and it smells sooo amazing! So anyway, I didn't go too crazy and ended up buying 6 things. So...

This is the d'fluff strawberry shaving soap, its lovely, as you can imagine it smells a bit like strawberries but I'm not super keen on the smell but it makes my legs feel lovelyyy so I can deal with it!
Ok so pictured here are the Karma bubble bar and the hottie massage bar. Again im not super keen on the smell of the massage bar, its not a bad smell, just smells kinda natural, but oh my goodness it is lovely.
The bubble bar however is maybe the best thing I have ever smelled, it smells like oranges! I wouldn't say I prefer it to the comforter but its definitely on par. It made plenty of bubbles and turned my bath a lovely orange! did i mention that it also smelled AMAZING?

I ran out of toner and decided to try this one from Lush, I'm not exactly sure if it works like a toner by helping to tighten pores etc. but it smells bootiful and it makes my skin feel just really calm and soothed. It smells mostly of lavender as well which adds to the calming effect.

This is my second lip balm from lush, I haven't used it enough yet to judge how good it is but i loved my last one so I'm sure i'll love this one too! So far though I really like it, its not a strong lemony scent but smells lovely.
I also brought a face mask called catastrophe cosmetic, I didn't take a picture as it had already made it to the fridge when I took the photos (its supposed to be kept in there to keep it freshhh!) I have purchased this before and I love it, it smells amazing and leaves your skin looking fresh! Its good to help soothe red skin and it works really well for me.

Well that's the end of my lush haul...for now! I'm sure I'll be back with more!

Thanks for reading!
